Rev. Dr. Phil Maynard, the author of books like Shift 2.0 and Membership to Discipleship, will be leading a workshop on Saturday, March 7 from 9 am to 3 pm at Community UMC in Virginia Beach on Radical Hospitality.

Radical Hospitality will focus on making the shift in the culture of the church from fellowship to hospitality. The workshop will include practical ideas about first-time guests welcome; follow-up with first time guests; empowering congregations to make personal connections with guests; the Christian discipleship dimension of hospitality, among others.

Participants and teams will be challenged to create hospitality goals to implement in their local congregation.
