Exceptional musical skills as an organist, choral director, and pianist.

- Actively recruit soloists and additional choir members.

- Update Facebook and Instagram page daily; maintain church calendar
- Communicates to the Senior Pastor and Staff Parish Relations Committee (SPRC) any concerns regarding position requirements, performance, or compensation.
- Order needed office supplies.
- Maintain key fob log, calendar for security doors.
- Other office duties as the Senior Pastor, SPRC and Administrative Assistant agree upon.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Publisher with accurate typing skills.
- Standard skills in basic office equipment. (Computer, Printer, Fax, Collator)
- Courteous manner, professional dress.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
- Must have prior Administrative Assistant experience. 1 to 3 years preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license.

Performance Requirements:
- Have the ability to work flexible hours up to 16 hours weekly, mainly mornings, but with other hours in the afternoons or evenings if necessary.
- Have knowledge and skills in all areas of building maintenance, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roof, sanding and painting.

- The superintendent should understand and respect that this work undergirds and supports the ministries of Miles Memorial Methodist Church.
Essential Functions:
- Make sure all floors are periodically stripped and waxed on a rotating basis.
- Remove trash and recyclables.
- Set up tables and chairs for scheduled meetings or events.
- Do minor repairs necessary to keep building in good working order.
- Change electric light bulbs to ensure proper lighting in all rooms, hallways and exterior.
- Check and make sure all switches are in good working order making necessary changes to bring everything up to code.
- Check and maintain heating system and maintain A/C units.
- If a leak occurs in the heating system, make sure all zones are shut down.
- Keep parking lot and courtyard areas clear of litter, and clear and treat walkways and stoops for snow, and ice when needed.
- Communicate directly with the Pastor and Trustees. Must be able to recognize immediate problems and correct same or contact appropriate company to have the work done in coordination with the Trustees.
- Help with minor repairs at the parsonage (9450 Selby Place).
- If the last person in the building, check that all lights, A/C or heat are turned down or off and the building is secured.
- Check and maintain maintenance and condition of scuppers and flat-roof areas regularly.
- Clean kitchen grease traps and maintain a record of completion at least every 3 months.
