Go, Disciple, Go Scavenger Hunt

Teams of 5 are invited to use the Go, Disciple, Go guide, take selfies, and present their findings at the Bishop’s Oyster Bash on November 12 for a chance to win prizes. Welcome, Bishop Sue Posters

To show hospitality to our Bishop, we are asking all children and youth from churches in the district to rally together and make as many welcome signs on sturdy cardboard poster boards by October 15.

There will be several drop-off locations:

1. Covenant UMC 
2004 Dock Landing Road, Chesapeake, VA 23321

2. Camp Occohannock
9403 Camp Ln, Belle Haven, VA 23306

3. Baylake UMC
4300 Shore Drive, VA 23455

Worship and Fellowship with Bishop Sue

9 am Worship at Epworth (Norfolk)

Bishop Sue’s visit begins at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 12, with worship at Epworth UMC in downtown Norfolk (124 W. Freemason St, Norfolk). Bishop Sue will be preaching. All are welcome! Parking is available in the church’s parking lot and the city parking deck across the street. Parking is free on Sundays.

Bishop’s Oyster Bash

An Oyster Bash to worship and fellowship with Bishop Sue will be held on November 12, 2023, at Camp Occohannock on the Bay. The doors open at 2:00 p.m.

The menu includes: oysters, coleslaw, green beans, and hotdogs. There is no cost for this event; however, a love offering will be collected to help offset the cost.

Breakfast with the Bishop

A special breakfast with lay leaders and clergy will be held on Monday, November 13, at 8:00 a.m. at the Harvest Diner (4112 Lankford Hwy, Exmore). To help with planning, RSVP by clicking here.
